The Rona Sailing Project has been running sailing voyages for deaf and hard of hearing adults since 1996. These provide the opportunity to experience life aboard a sailing yacht with a group of people whom you have potentially never met before. Whilst on board you'll learn what it’s like to live on a sailing yacht, from cooking and cleaning through to sailing and steering and not always during daylight hours. On board to help teach you will be the Skipper and Afterguard who are all experienced in running such voyages. There will also be at least one qualified sign language communicator.

Every year the Rona Sailing Project aims to provide voyages for the deaf and hard of hearing, which take place on Merrilyn.
