Set sail with the Rona Sailing Project on a summer sail training voyage. We we have availability on three voyages in July for 16-19 year old’s on both Donald Searle and Rona II. We have availability for boys and girls on week-long voyages commencing the 11th and 18th of July. We also have availability for girls on the week 25th.
The places you will visit will depend on the conditions, but you are guaranteed to have an amazing voyage. You will spend the first day in the Solent getting to know the boat and the other crew members before heading West past the glorious Needles. From there you will either sail south towards France or one of the Channel Islands or continue west along the Jurassic Coast sailing into such ports as Poole and Weymouth, maybe anchoring in Lulworth Cove or off Durdle Door.
Sailing with the RSP is an exciting, rewarding and fun outdoor adventure. You don’t need any prior sailing experience as our experienced Afterguard will teach you about every role on board as you work as part of an inclusive and enthusiastic team, made up of people your age from different backgrounds with a range of abilities.
If you are new to sailing, you may be able to use the voyage to gain your RYA Start Yachting or Competent Crew certificate. Those who have more experience could use the voyage to work towards the RYA Watch Leader certificate or log miles and experience towards higher qualifications. Please enquire about using the voyages towards the Duke of Edinburgh or any other award you may be working towards.
Read our FAQs or contact us with any queries to reserve your berth.
The voyages cost only £215 however if you are unable to pay the full amount we have a bursary scheme that you can apply for. Please contact enquire directly.
We can’t wait to welcome you on board for your summer sailing voyage.
