We are delighted to be able to offer some crew spaces on board a Gemini Voyage from 6th – 9th of September, a unique sail training voyage for adults with learning disabilities.
Together with the Gemini Sailing Project, the Rona Sailing Project have been running these fantastic voyages since 1987.
The crew will experience what it is like to be part of a team, will be involved in all aspects of life on board and develop skills and knowledge and personal confidence. Above all they will have a fun-filled voyage with skilled and safe sailors and helpers onboard.
They will enjoy sailing ‘Donald Searle’ an Ocean 75, and getting involved in all activities including sailing and cooking and they will also visit ports including Yarmouth, Cowes and Portsmouth where they will have some time to visit new places, do some shopping, meet new people and to socialise.
The cost per berth is £180 and this includes all food on board, fuel and berthing fees, use of oilskins and a lifejacket for the duration of the voyage as well as a meal ashore one evening in a local pub. There is no need for anyone to bring a carer or an assistant as we run the voyage on a one-to-one basis to ensure that everyone is well cared for and happy. We can cater for a wide range of needs and abilities.
Crew will embark and disembark at Universal Marina, S0317ZN
