After the most recent announcement regarding the delay to the easing of restrictions, we are now hoping to be able to start running Sail Training Voyages again in late July, subject to any required mitigation measures to keep everyone safe. In the meantime we are busy with training and familiarisation voyages for volunteers and working to make our voyages as safe as possible.
When we resume Sail Training Voyages, it is unclear whether we will be required to sail with reduced numbers on board to allow for social distancing. We have therefore taken fewer reservations per voyage, and to date all voyages are filled by young people who had booked voyages in 2020 or on earlier 2021 voyages that had to be cancelled. If we are allowed to sail with greater numbers – then the extra places on our voyages will be available. If you want to be added to our waiting list for 2021 voyages (or indeed 2022) or if you are interested in participating in day sails or a series of day sails please email Ann email@example.com or Brid firstname.lastname@example.org detailing what you are interested in, your name, age and where you would be travelling from.
We also welcome enquiries for day sails from community and voluntary groups working with young people or adults, as well as corporates and other groups who may want a much-needed breath of fresh air in the Solent.
