Due to the success of the last one, The Rona Sailing Project is running one more teenage sailing weekend this season, from May 31st to June 2nd. We have only three berths remaining for the weekend. The voyage is suitable for 14 and 15 year old’s and is perfect for both complete beginners as well as those who have some dinghy or big boat sailing experience. If the conditions are right, this weekend may be used to gain the RYA Start Yachting Certificate or work towards the RYA Competent Crew certificate. If you have an RYA logbook already you can use the weekend to build miles and experience for sailing progression. The voyage is also a great way to see if you would like to come and sail on a longer, more challenging Sail Training voyage
Sailing in the magnificent waters of the Solent, there are plenty of harbours, marinas, coves and bays to visit over the weekend – wherever you visit it will be exciting and a lot of fun.
You and the rest of the crew will participate in all aspects of life on board, from helming and navigation to cooking, keeping the boat clean and tidy, setting the and maybe even some rowing or swimmig. Our fantastic volunteer Afterguard will show you exactly what you need to do so you’ll be supported every step of the way. There’s plenty of time to have fun with everyone on board and learn new skills over the course of weekend.
The priority for the teenage sailing weekend is to get on the water, make friends and to have lots of fun! This action-packed weekend will start at Universal Marina at 7pm on Friday May 31st and will finish at 3pm on Sunday June 2nd. For just £100 per person, all food, berthing and any certificates awarded are included.
Get in contact with us for more information as soon as possible to secure one of the last three berths on this, our final teenage sailing weekend.
